Section: Dufferin 1. The McCarsons Lake, Lookout, Walter Tovell and South Outlier side trails to the 10 km marker.
Our hike started with a meeting at Pete's on a cold morning with touches of snow around. Stephen proceeded to do his white only makeup and the rest of us walked the trails in Mono Cliffs Provincial Park. The slightly colder weather meant that the trail was firm, no mud and a little light snow so the going was easy.
However we managed to mislay Bill and John G at one point because they took a wrong turn... We used the main trail and tthe McCarsons Lake, Lookout, Walter Tovell and South Outlier side trails. The view of the lake and from the lookout were great and we made excellent time over the 14 Km trail .
There was plenty of time for coffee at Eddie's before returning home.
