Blue and White Bruce Trail End to End

Section Caledon (7th Line Parking to Hockley Rd-Markers 45.8 to 60.5)
Leader: John Nourse
Hikers: John& Karen N., Stephen, Rudi& Margaret, Ella, Carol, Jim, Sandra, Agnes
Travelling in the dark we gathered in Caledon before starting off to position the cars. This hike through the valley proved to be challenging in the drizzling rain.
There were several switch back climbs down and up through the valley. These were steep and slippery in spots. There were several excellent views as we progressed to the top of the valley.
The terrain consisted of hardwood bush, open grassland, a pine plantation, and consisted of passing over a tributary of the Humber River. There are several catwalks in this section. We had to pay attention as there were several private trails staked out to confuse us.
We completed the following side trails during this hike: Darcy’s Side Trail, Hockleycrest Side Trail, Harmony Side Trail and the Peter Beecham Side Trail.
